    Salt Mountain Music exists to grow electronic, funk, soul, and good old rock and roll throughout the Pine Underground region -- Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, and Colorado. An aspen clone, but not cloned genetically from an ancestor. Our region stretches towards the Midwest and the West and the North and the South. So does Salt Mountain Music. The aim here is to establish a real record label in Salt Lake City, Utah and grow it up for the benefit of all those who appreciate good music. To establish a go-to label that will shoot runners throughout the region's soil and farm it up. The finest quality product, local music that's for far more than locals.

    The process of making music often involves creating and consuming other forms of art. Anyone who owns a record has enjoyed perusing the sleeve while listening to the music. The photography and other art for sale here is meant to serve that purpose -- it is vitally connected to what you hear, and having something to read / look at / trip out on is part of the fun. More creative bits will be added to current and future releases, so if you purchase music you may find other tidbits thrown in as a thank-you and for the purpose of connecting to the roots of what makes the music tick.
